Robo Clash

WARNNING: This game is rated Mature, it contains: A little bit of nudity, strong swearing and violence. If this stuff makes you uncomfortable do not play it.
This is my first mecha tactical RPG I made in RMVX . I got writers block while I was working on it and I would like to know what everyone who plays the game thinks should happen after the last map. Please note that I am still working on this and the character art is not final. I am trying to find an artist, not a professional one just a neat one. So please do not expect the game to be perfect yet.

-Brief Story Summery-

In the 29th century earth had a long break from wars. It seemed like everything had settled down. People were relieved and thankful for the long rest of war. However by the end of the 30th century strange alien robots suddenly attacked Earth so they could have the planet for themselves. The army and other services were unable to stop them. So by they created their own giant robots to pilot and stop the aliens.

It is now the beginning of the 31st century and the aliens have basically won but not quite.

Main characters:


Yui Ayato
Age:19
Gender: Male

Profile: Yui is the leader of the Galactic Star Team. He pilots the robot Black Fire. However he is very lazy and tries to skip pilot training every chance he gets. Other than that he has a good since of humor and is a skilled pilot.



Mai Subaki
Age:20
Gender: Female
Profile: Mai is a very smart woman. She pilots the robot Artemis which is the hardest one to pilot and has extremely long range attack. Unlike everyone else she can figure things out very easily.




Toya Hokimoto
Age: 23
Gender: Male

Profile: Toya is very quiet and doesn’t really talk very much. He is shy and nervous around new people and usually won’t talk to just anyone. He pilots the robot Burning Star which is rather weak in defense but can do a lot of damage if properly used.



Hayate Mitsu
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Hayate is Yui’s half-brother and is very sensitive and takes things too personally sometimes. He pilots the robot Psychic Wraith that has a very that has high defense but low attack.

Mikka Henderson
Age: 22
Gender: Male

Profile: Mikka is the leader of the Iris team and though he may seem tough he is actually a very kind person. He pilots the air robot Angelic Wings that has very high defense and a close and long rang attack. However because his robot flies he is weak against anything that is an anti-air or laser fire and gun attacks.




Annabella Luise
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Profile: Annabella is Mikka's best friend perhaps even girlfriend. However sometimes she acts silly and likes to bug people. She pilots the robot Althena and has a high chance of landing a critical hit on an enemy.




Leon Smith
Age: 20
Gender: Male

Profile: Leon is a very high spirited person and loves to work out. Instead of piloting a normal robot he pilots a giant mecha suit that is a little bit smaller than a robot he is immune to critical hits and restores HP automatically depending on how much damage he takes.

I'm going to download this right now and try it out. From the screenshots, I think it looks real good but the mapping could use some work.

I know the mapping isn't the best but I don't really know how to map very well.

To fix the title screen I'd say resize it smaller.

There are a few glitches after the second cut scene.
I enter the same room i went in (the one that started the first battle)
and I'm trapped, none of the doors work.

I am not sure what your talking about I test played it and I wasn't stuck after the second cutscene.
EDIT: I figured it out Strawberrycat24 you are suppose to stay in the room and talk to Hayate to go to the sceond battle. I forgot to make so that you cannot leave the room sorry about that.

Sounds good. Some custom robots would be a great adittion as well, like each character gets their own unique one that eventually gets an ultimate form?

That's a great idea! I'll have to dig up Mithran's Class Change Item script and his Class change graphics. The only problem with that is I cannot sprite and robots a very hard to come by. If you know of any sites that have them let me know.

I dont...and items and them to class up can actually be done with events and common events...

I know they can be done with common events the only problem is what about making their level convert back to one during class change with their current status? Please don't worry about the robot characters I am good at recoloring so I will just recolor them.

good point...and you could always look for gundam sprites.

Yes, I know I just want to give the player more of an advantage later on because the battles get extreamly hard after mission 11 which is not in the current demo I uploaded. I just want to be fair. Also I am going to add an item shop in the next update so that you can buy items.

No thank you. The title was something a good friend of mine thought of. Also it's based on an manga I made up and I really want to sell the manga with a manga company some day. To be honest making RPGs in RPG Maker VX is just a hobby. I am actually going into the cartoon animation field. I tried going for making games but coding turned out to be way too hard for me. I would not be able to make a game for XBox 360 or Playstation 3, Wii and so on.

I can draw manga but I haven't gotten to the animation part of my degree yet. I am still learning the basics of Ilistration and design right now. I am only taking one class at a time right now. Eventually I'll be able to though.
