Chronicles of Vita: Omega Era

Legend says that back when time began there existed a single life force, a dragon. As time progressed, this Origin Dragon laid five eggs. Of these five only four are known to of hatched, the fifth was lost ever since. The four Grand Dragons were each given a different task by the Origin dragon. Genesis, the earth dragon was to keep watch over the land. Cosmos was to guard space and the stars. Raine, the water dragon was to keep the seas pure. Lastly, Bahamut, the sky dragon was to watch the endless sky. Then after they were given their purpose the Origin Dragon used all of its power to create the seed that would become the universe.

The four dragons then they each took up their duties to protect the galaxy, making a single planet their home, the planet of Vita. The reasons behind this choice remain unknown to all but those four.

Long before the war from a thousand years ago, another war occurred, a war of dragons. The dragons, ancient creatures of great power, waged war for over a millennium. The war transformed the planet’s surface and covered it with many corpses. The war was without end…or so it appeared. From the sky descended four great dragons, the offspring of the Origin dragon. The dragons calmed the enraged dragons and placed them in a long slumber. This slumber is said to be broken individually when a dragon comes into contact with a human.

After the dragons were put into their slumber, the four Grand Dragons returned to where they had come from and continued their duties to this very day, and they always will until they produce offspring and entrust their duties onto them.

Decades later, the Magi encountered a large group of dragons on a floating island. These dragons were defeated and their bodies were transformed into a group of talismans…The magia that changed them was soon lost forever, leaving those talismans to be the only of their kind.

Long ago, before the nations divided, war broke out between the continent nation of Terra and the island nation of Luna. In fear of being caught in the centre of the war, the Magi nation constructed a tower that would contain the necessary Magia to lift the Magi continent out of the ocean and into the endless sky; however, during this process, a group of unknown thieves, who had similar power to that of the Magi, stole a set of 7 talismans that contained the power of the great Dragons that once roamed the planet in large numbers. These thieves then went to the two warring nations to try to get them to stop fighting...this only made matters worse. The two nations thought the band of thieves were of the Rain nation, a small nation that was but a volcanic island, and began to focus the war on them. Seeing this, the thieves went to the Raine nation and offered to assist them, the nation agreed without hesitation. For three years this war continued.

In a final effort to end the war, the thieves found 7 of the greatest warriors of the Rain nation and bestowed upon them the 7 Dragon Talismans they had managed to steal from the Magi. When they did so, they also transferred all of their Magia force into the talisman they had guarded for the last three years and their weapons: the Fire talisman and the double-bladed sword of the first thief, the Dragon talisman and the bow of the second thief, the Dark(evil) talisman and the scythe of the third thief, the Earth talisman and the staff of the fourth thief, the Wind talisman and the katana of the fifth thief, the Light talisman and the broadsword of the sixth thief, and the Thunder talisman and the twin daggers of the seventh thief.

Using the power bestowed upon the, the Seven Dragoons, as they would later be called, created the holy gauntlet Excalibur which the bearer of the Fire talisman used to form barriers around the nations and cause all but the Seven and the legendary Magi to live their lives as if there was never a war. Those lost in the war merely died of natural causes to the majority of the people. Soon after Excalibur was used, it was transported to the tower the Magi created. This was to ensure that Excalibur’s power would continue to hold and so that it would not fall into the wrong hands.

...However, during the creation of Excalibur, the negative energy produced formed the cursed gauntlet Ragnarok, causing a small rift into the Dark World to appear...

bio: Having lost his family to soldiers for reasons he himself does not know, Dante wishes nothing more than to bring closure to the event.
Personality:Dante is arrogant and quick to start a fight.

Bio: A rust-coloured wolf that found it's way into the basement of the castle of Draco by means of sewers.
Personality: Being gifted with the strange ability to talk, he is often sarcastic and quick to judge.

Attending a city meeting, Ryuu and Shesha learn that the once kind king they have grown up listening to now wishes to invade and conquer the entire Crescent Continent. His reasons why remain unknown, being hidden by the false words that calim the nation to be a threat to the countries future.

Later they discuss the matter with Rodger, owner of the weapon shop. While in conversation, a mysterious man appears at the door seeking weapons to "best even the maddest of men."

Awoken by Kain, Dante finds himself in the basement of Castle Draco. Here he encounters a thief that has heard of a treasure deep within the castle's basement. After quickly defeating the thief, Dante has a new-found instinct to bite the stranger rather than end his life. After doing so, Dante and Kain escape from the castle with all that the thief had on him. All the while seeing horror-striking images of his family being slaughtered by soldiers, as well as himself being experimented on...

Once outside Dante sees that much has changed while he was asleep, and so he heads off to the tavern where a friend of his was always found.

Luris: The beasts of the party that attack with claw and fang.

Sagitarii: Archers. They shoot down enemies with a flurry of arrows.

Dacarus: Dragons. Mighty creatures capable of leveling cities with a a single blow.

Litius Magister: A mage who wields light magia

Darkus Magister: A mage who wields dark magia

Altrus Mage: a type of mage that uses basic light & dark magia

Sicarius: Ninja-like warriors who have the stealth of wind.

Soldarius: Favouring defense over offense, this is a rival to the ways of Gladarius.

Gladarius: Favouring offense over defense, it is the rival of the Soldarius.

Ladros: Thieves. They steal from the foe many things. Their money, items, magia, and souls~ (joking with the souls...)
