World
Japan shortly after World War 2. it is now that supernatural beings live in the forests beyond the human's line of sight. Many of which have fled to other realms. However those of the beast variety have stayed behind to keep their territories. In this world a child's love of dolls will bring upon a special kind of magic. However it depends on the person...a collector of toys will have a great love in their hearts and awesome energies will surround them. But one who abuses their toys will have no power. Dolls and toys play a great roll in the world.

Story
Kyuubi...the great king of the vulpine race was a vain and mighty king, living in a deep forest surrounded by golden fruit and flowers that resembled his nine flowing soft and fluffy tails. Approached one day by a red vixen in a dark cloak claiming to be a simple patchfox and begging to stay in the palace, he denied her and was cursed by the red vixen who was but a beautiful two tailed witch in disguise. Having been turned into a living plush toy The king could no longer stay in his kingdom and had to venture to human lands to find a way to break the curse. The first human he meets is a human girl around nineteen years of age who loves dolls and lives in her own little fantasy world. It was because of this, the girl's joy of playing with boomerangs, and the fact that his plush strength was not enough to hold chests open that he let her come along.

Terms
Patchfox: homeless fox, or loner.
Plushmaster: a collector of plush toys that can use the stuffed animals to awaken magical powers.
Gurogitsune: A clan of black foxes who bear a great animosity toward the gold clan.
Yukigitsune: A clan of White foxes who isolate themselves in the northern wilderness, It's said their wisdom of magic allows them to have the power to reverse any curse.
Hikarigitsune: The Gold fox clan of which Kyuubi is the king.
Higitsune: A clan of red foxes who have lost their forest to the development of man's structures. They have begun to intertwine their lives with the humans and don't regret doing so.
Ribbon fox: A fox adopted by a human family often marked by a colorful ribbon around it's neck.
Blood plush: A plush toy that has been animated and given power to fight.
Fox fire: one of the base elements a fox can possess, it never burns the user.

Character
King Kyuubi, キング九尾:

Age: around 100 (in fox years), 20 or so (in human years)
A great and mighty king that had been humbled
by being turned into a stuffed animal. Having
once had power over many elements now he
has none. He has to regain his power from scratch,
But the only element he is able to attain in plush
form is the power of fox fire.

Witch Atsana, 魔女アスタナ:
Emoset (by light)

Age: Unknown
An evil red two tailed fox witch who has an army
of animated plush toys at her disposal and will do
all she can to keep King Kyuubi from reclaiming his
throne, Or so our Heroes seem to think.
Her ability to summon plush toys to her aid make her
a true force to be reckoned with.

Jessie, ジェシー:

Age: 19
Her father was an American businessman and her mother was Japanese.
Her family was torn apart by the war, but she always kept a smile on her face
When she was little She remembered that her father would tell her
"Your smile will make others happy, and your tears will break hearts."
It was this that kept her going, Jessie never wanted to hurt others...
so she continued to smile in hopes of spreading joy.
even though she was crying inside.

She retreated to stuffed animals and Chibi dolls for her own happiness,
seeming to act like a child at times.
Upon their first meeting...King Kyuubi seems to think that she is his only hope.

She has great potential to become a plush master.
However at the beginning of their journey all Jessie has is the
power to heal using a cute little green haired doll...
who knows what she will learn to do if she collects more.

Ken, ケン:
Emoset (by light)

age: 19
Jessie's best friend.
He is sensitive to the fact that She is half American,
and often stood up for her when they were younger.
the words that finally ended the bullying being
"She is no different than us on the inside, hurting her only makes you a monster."
He has always been Jessie's hero...until the war occurred and many children
including Jessie became home schooled in bomb shelters.
He never saw Jessie in school again, and he knew why.
It had been because Jessie's Mother had died During the war,
Sacrificing what little food they had to feed her daughter.

These days Ken looks a lot like King Kyuubi did when he was 'not' a
plush toy. Handsome and smart he is a scholar who
prefers to spend his time reading and enriching his mind in school
instead of playing with toys.
He has taught himself in the art of hand to hand combat.
Not believing in such things as Plushmasters or magical beings,
it is hard for him to comprehend the immense adventure
ahead of him and his best friend.

Mamosa, ミモザ:

Age: ??? (in raccoon years), around 17 (in human years)
He is a skittish little fellow who tries his hardest to fit in
among the humans, However he fails miserably at every
chance. When he meets Jessie and King Kyuubi he finally
believes he has a chance to become human.
He joins the team sometime after Ken does,
and so he decides to follow them on their journey
He is quite clingy and finds himself latching onto Ken for safety.
Not having many magical powers besides shape shifting
He isn't all that out of place within a motley crew of...
a stuffed animal (Kyuubi) who uses knives as weapons,
a girl who manipulates stuffed animals to create magic,
and a boy who seems to have taught himself Karate in his spare time.
Mamosa's power to change forms is an asset in battle,
Even if he feels like a burden sometimes

Gurogitsune soldiers:

Soldiers who follow the tradition of the samurai
from a clan of black foxes who would do anything to take
over the gold fox territory. Their leader (to them) is an
honorable man who would do anything to make their
kingdom prosper.

However to any other colored fox The gurogitsune are a
malicious race of thieves and monsters in vulpine clothing.
