New Layout?

I kind of hate to say this, but I think one of the major reasons that our forum isn't getting as many members as it could is because of the site's current layout D: Compared to a lot of forum sites, Dreams seems to be a bit lacking in the navigability, and visually appealing-ness... I also feel like it's a little unprofessional :/ I'm not trying to put down RG, or Light-kun on this at all or anything if that's how it's sounding right now T~T

What do you guys think?

I agree with you Rose. The forum software in itself is a bad one because it was free plus the cost of the domain. The colours are too bright and some of the window colouring should be different. The visual layout is OK, but it is very annoying. And there is so much useless items that are not needed.

You are right. I think if Light changes the layout setting fro, phpBB2(?) to Invision or phpBB3 it would help.
OmegaDEV was phpBB3 and it is successful, so that might be a good choice.
And you can even add alot of stuff in BB3 like the user2user site money transfers.

I agree with Arco...no offense to Light.
But it does seem to be a good choice.
My own site is invision based.
and the layout there has gotten several compliments.
n_n of course I did take a custom layout from another site and customize it slightly.
It's not a hard thing to do.
Making a site look professional is all about guts and imagination...
...not to mention the ability to see success in your design.

Not all sites have to look professional, they just have to have an appeal to members. If I site has images and visuals that appeal to a member, they are more likely to visit the site. If there is a large pointless area, it often turns a person away...

Light, I'm working on graphics, if you need a logo I could make one.

I think that was the problem before arco too many graphics i have asked berry and rose to take a look and see what they can do.

@Light - I meant I would ask him to see if he would do some. If you don't want him to then fine. I was only trying to help. And I've had enough of stating ideas in real life because they shot down every time.
