Kaspersky Pure Virus Protection not working right

Hi, my mom, brought some virus protection called Kaspersky Pure. It intstalled without any problems but then said I had to update things. So I did and it then still said that my conmputer was at risk. I clicked fix it and it said that I was running one connection and that it will be terminated. I didn't want it to termimate my internet connection so I clicked I don't agree and now I cannot even open it. What is going on? Did I misunderstand something it said that it is one of he best virus protections.
